Kaumera stimulates root growth

kaumera 3

At several locations in the municipality of Lochem, Circulus-Berkel is renovating planting beds this season. The ornamental shrubs and perennials will need to be replaced. Young hedges have also been planted at various locations. Kaumera is used to stimulate the root growth of the young trees.

It is expected that young hedge plants will develop better by wetting the roots with Kaumera before planting. The plants then absorb more water and grow better during their first vulnerable year.

During the coming year we will keep a close eye on how the plants develop. After that year we will know whether the application of Kaumera has indeed been successful.

Why this approach?
Circulus-Berkel and the municipality of Lochem have experienced in recent years that young plants increasingly fail due to persistent drought. Despite a lot of watering. Kaumera can be a solution as a sustainable and safe approach. Initial experiences in agriculture have already been positive. This is the first time that Kaumera is being used in green spaces. We are therefore very curious about the results.

Over the next year, we will keep a close eye on how the plants develop. After this year we will know whether the application of Kaumera is indeed successful.
