Ecological enhancement for soil and crop
With increasing abiotic stresses (e.g. drought, soil depletion) and restrictions on pesticides, for example, there is an increasing need for natural products that strengthen the soil or plant in terms of root formation, photosynthesis efficiency and crop yield. Kaumera helps improve soil and plant stress tolerance. This can be through its application as a endproduct in the form of foliar fertilisation, soil application or as an ingredient.
We invite arable farmers and growers to apply Kaumera. If you are a producer of biostimulants, soil conditioners and seed/fertiliser coatings, we invite you to explore Kaumera as an ingredient in your formulation.
Kaumera can give a number of benefits to soil and plants:
Benefits of Kaumera
- Retains water in soils in trials with the planting of young trees in the urban environment, we see that the application of Kaumera in the tree substrate leads to moister soil (soil sensors) even after rainfall and drought. Less watering is needed.
- Strengthens root structure In trials with turf and arable crops, we see that low doses already improve root structure.
- Improves photosynthesis
- Can increase crop yield field trials with maize show that yield was increased by up to 8% at low doses
CE Mark
It is expected that Kaumera will have a CE mark as a soil improver from the European Fertiliser Regulation by early 2025 and may be marketed throughout Europe from then on. It is also expected to obtain CE marking as a biostimulant by the end of 2025 as well. This research is still ongoing at various institutes at home and abroad and shows promising results .
