Raw materials plant Zutphen and Epe
On 2 October 2019, the world's first raw materials plant was opened in Zutphen.
The plant in Zutphen consists of a Nereda® wastewater treatment plant and a Kaumera extraction plant. There, Kaumera is extracted from the residual water of two dairies.
A second plant is running at Vallei and Veluwe Water Authority in Epe. There, treated household wastewater is used to produce Kaumera. This Kaumera plant has been operational since autumn 2020.
