What do Dutch Design and a new raw material from waste water have to do with each other? Well, everything!
Three designers have studied a new material from waste water: Kaumera Nereda® Gum. The Rijn en IJssel Water Board is currently building this Kaumera raw materials plant in Zutphen.
Kaumera means 'chameleon' and reflects the versatility of the material. Kaumera is an amplifier and connector. This ensures that the application possibilities are endless. All three designers have found a different application for the material - from porcelain to textiles and in wood processing. The result is a beautiful exhibition.
The work of the three designers can be admired during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven from 20 to 28 October. The EFGF Kaumera exhibition can be found in the Veemgebouw.
